Our History and Profile
Sharon L. Nicka, RN, CPC established a sole proprietorship in 1993 operating under the name of Financial Reimbursement Practice Consultants (FRPC). In late 2002, FRPC was incorporated as Nicka & Associates, Inc. Our corporate office is located just north of Dallas in McKinney, Texas.
We are a privately held company with a solid, profitable and debt free financial profile since inception. NAI maintains Errors and Omissions insurance to ensure financial protection on behalf of our clients and the services we provide.
Nicka & Associates has evolved into a nationally recognized company providing expert emergency medicine and urgent care services nationwide.

Mrs. Nicka is a nationally renowned expert in emergency medicine coding, compliance, and consulting in the reimbursement arena. Mrs. Nicka brings over thirty years of emergency department management and healthcare consulting experience to each of her endeavors. Having served as a member of the American College of Emergency Physician’s Committee on Coding and Nomenclature and expert witness for Medicare, Mrs. Nicka has had the opportunity to not only contribute but to shape the framework of emergency medicine and urgent care coding.
With 30 years of experience in the chemical industry, Greg Nicka has taken a leap of faith to join Nicka & Associates, Inc. and continue the company’s legacy that his parents built. Greg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Northeastern State University and with his leadership and management skills coupled with various previous business roles, Greg has begun to set a new pace at Nicka & Associates, Inc. Along with his vision of growing the company in strategic ways, Greg also directs the sales force and as well as overseeing the Compliance and I.T. departments.
